I have a confession to make. I’m sick of purported “value” peddlers. It only takes fifteen minutes in the online marketing space to get bombarded from every direction about “value”. In my opinion, it is the most overused and under-delivered promise in the online marketing space. All of the marketing gurus and wanna be experts tout how they focus on adding value to their tribes. This value-laden rhetoric sounds great and would in fact be wonderful IF in fact it actually made a tangible difference in the lives of real people like you and me.

  1. Don’t be self-righteous (“There is no one righteous, no not one”, Roman 3:10)
  2. Stop trying to control others
  3. Use Discretion in Confrontations (“The discretion of a man delays his anger; and it is his glory to overlook a transgression.”,  Proverbs 19:11)
  4. Learn to listen better
  5. Resign from the bench (“Judge not, that you be not judged”,  Matt 7:1)

  10. Stay prayerful (“But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven.“, Matthew 5:44)
